Founded in 1956 by a small group of concerned citizens, the Blue Ridge Rescue Squad has grown into one of the largest volunteer rescue squads in northern New Jersey. Over the past decades we have expanded our territory to cover more than 124 square miles, serving municipalities throughout Sussex County.
From our earliest days of basic first aid and transport, we've evolved into a modern emergency services organization providing advanced life support, rescue operations and community education. Our volunteers continually train and adopt new technologies to provide the best care possible. We are proud of our heritage and grateful for the community support that has made our growth possible.
As we look to the future, Blue Ridge Rescue Squad remains committed to excellence. We will continue investing in training, technology and outreach so that we can respond to emergencies and prepare our community for whatever comes next.
